Description:

Older Releases: Dragon Ball - Blue Water Dub // Dragon Ball Z - Westwood Dub [V2] What Is The Westwood/Blue Water Dub & Why It Takes So Long To Sync: This dub only aired in international English speaking countries (UK, Canada, Netherlands etc.). It is a rare lost media that has been preserved by fans who recorded this from TV between 2001 to 2005. This dub will never have an official release on DVD due to being stuck in licensing hell. The Blue Water and Westwood dub were edited for TV and thus often times contain various cuts. This can be anywhere in the episode. It takes about 1 to 2 hours to sync one episode because of these cuts. We are doing this lengthy process per episode in order to preserve this dub, and to prevent it from being lost to time. Here is what the typical timeline looks like for a single episode: If you want to learn more about the Westwood and Blue Water Dub, how it came to be and how it aired then watch this video: DBZ Lost Media - Preserving The Westwood Dub. Video: Episodes Source Resolution PAR DAR Scan Type FPS Format Encoder Media Info 1-64 R2J Dragon Box 708x480 177:160 4:3 Progressive 23.976 H.264 ManifestX MI Link Notes: The video for this release has been sourced from SoM’s Color Corrected Dragon Box. This has been synced to the best audio of any given episode of the dub. The Color Corrected Dragon Box retains as much detail as possible, ensuring that Dragon Ball GT can be viewed in its highest quality. Audio: This release serves to include the best recorded version of each episode synced to the best possible video that we have. The audio is sourced from the +500GB Westwood Blue Water Torrent. The sources are Hi-Fi and Stereo recordings, the best possible version of any given episode. Our audio sources for an episode of the Blue Water dub are: Robo4900, Shadowmere (originally labelled as part of the Wonder-inc folder), xoxDANoxo, TheDutchSlayer, OceanDan93, Andyscot, Val the VHS Guy, lolman. (in order of quality). The audio cleanup for TheDutchSlayer VHS tapes were done by Krycek7o2. Notes: The AB Groupe French DVDs and Japanese Audios were used as fillers since they used the same music score, and were used to fill in the ad break, after openings, and before endings, where applicable for seamless music instead of an abrupt start/stop. The insert songs have been re-added by SSJ as a different track, and are included for episode 39. Opening & Ending: The Opening and Ending have been recreated for this release. The Opening features video sourced from a 4k 16mm scan of the GT opening from Kineko (Youtube link) and SoM Color Corrected footage to patch the credits, they have been recreated by DBZImran. The Ending features video sourced from the SoM Color Correction Dragon Box and recreated credit text by Robo, they have been recreated by Draganath. Credits: This was possible thanks to the combined efforts of: Robo4900, Wonder inc, DBZImran who organized and split each individual episode ready to sync and edit. iKaos and JySzE for quality control and encoding instructions. ManifestX, andyscot, Wonder inc, Dragonballireland for QCing and editing episodes. Dragon Ball GT has been synced by ManifestX, Draganath, DBZImran We Need Your Help! If you notice any errors please leave let us know by reporting the issues to the Seed of Might Q&A Discord Server. With the CC v2 of Dragon Ball GT coming out by SoM in the coming months, we would like to solidify the episodes as much as possible. We need assistance with Quality Control of synced episodes, and people skilled in editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro.
