猫猫第二季的画面风格与第一季类同，原生分辨率同样约为 955p。有趣的是，制作方仿佛看到了我们先前的制作吐槽，第二季的视频码率有了明显改善，也重新加入了保护性噪点。遗憾的是，除了常规的亮度平面噪点外，制作方又矫枉过正地在色度平面上也加入了细腻的高频动噪，结果不仅重蹈了第一季整体欠码的覆辙，色块问题在对比之下反而有所恶化，对此我们深感无奈。
相较于第一季的瑕疵修复方针，本次我们增加了欠码修复与色平面修复的步骤，以适配这些新出现的瑕疵。
The art style of Maomao 2nd Season is similar to that of the 1st Season, with the native resolution also remaining at around 955p. Interestingly, as if the production team notices our previous complaints, the video bitrate for the 2nd Season improves significantly, and protective grain is re-added. Unfortunately, apart from the regular grain on the luma plane, the production team overcorrects by introducing fine, high-frequency dynamic noise to the chroma planes as well. As a result, this not only repeats the 1st Season’s mistake of an overall insufficient bitrate, but also worsens the blocking issues by comparison, leaving us feeling quite helpless.
Compared to our artifact processing approach in the 1st Season, we add extra steps this time to fix the insufficient bitrate and repair the chroma planes to handle these newly emerged artifacts.
