The DEBD has much better grain and less banding but uses the English Visuals, ZoroSenpai spliced in the JP title cards from the JPBD (with the exception of the JP subtitles during the US Mircofilm scene). JP Audio is sourced from the JP UHD with both non-Atmos tracks converted to FLAC. the 5.1 track is first and default because according to CiNEPHiLES The 5.1 is reportedly closer to what was heard in theaters during the original release. The Atmos track is remixed for home video, as described by the director and crew in this Japanese interview. Most notably, Godzilla’s roars have been swapped for more impactful ones in a couple of scenes. The 2.0 track was left for those with 2-channel setups or Headphones. The commentary is sourced from the Watch-Along US UHD (same for the subtitles for it). ENG Audio is interesting, when the dub originally shadow-dropped on Netflix the penultimate line of the movie was originally dubbed as “Can this war of yours… finally be done?” which caused controversy (from clearly stupid people who have no earthly idea what they are talking about). Sometimes inbetween the original Netflix release and the US physical release this section was redubbed to be closer to the Japanese subtitles. I sourced the original dub from a day one WEB-DL that was still active and the Revised version from the US UHD. Both dubtitles come from two seperate WEB-DLs as the US physical release despite having an SDH track doesn’t have any dubtitles. Subtitles are still Krycek and co’s wonderful fixed translation and typeset, I carried over their typeset to the dubtitles and added the offical subtitles from Netflix as an alternate option for those who (for one reason or another) don’t like the change made in Kry’s subtitles. Extras are re-encoded as I got them off users from Soulseek but still contain subs (for the ones that have them at least)
