The band's debut album, Popular Delusions, is scheduled for January 19, and the first single, Rodent, was released on December 1, with a music video directed by Vincent Cordero. Spreizer took over vocal duties in Verona On Venus, in addition, he performed almost all the instrumental parts on the album on his own. Spreitzers former DevilDriver bandmate Austin DAmond was responsible for the drums. When creating Verona On Venus, Spreitzer drew inspiration from the industrial and Gothic music he grew up playing. There is a dark and rebellious side to music that has been lost, he said. It's time to rediscover it, revive it and remind people that the uncomfortable and disturbing should not be forgotten. This album was not so much a discovery of myself as a confirmation that I can address the place inside me that was buried, added Spreitzer. I finally pushed myself to reveal this side of myself. In addition to the original material, Popular Delusions features a cover version of Acid Baths song The Bones Of Baby Dolls.
