The main character of Shadows of the Damned: Remastered is Garcia Hotspur - a motorcyclist and professional demon hunter. When the protagonist discovers that the ruler of hell - Fleming - has kidnapped his beloved, he has no choice but to start a private crusade and venture deep into the underground world. Fortunately, he won't have to make the crossing alone, as he can count on the company of a talking (and helpful) skull named Johnson and other brothers in arms he meets along the way. In Shadows of the Damned: Remastered we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). The adventure takes us through various, atmospheric locations full of enemies. In addition to the "cannon fodder" we send to the sand in wholesale quantities, there are much more powerful bosses standing in our way. We eliminate enemies with the help of Johnson, who can take the form of a torch (used for close-quarters attacks) or firearms - a pistol, a shotgun and a machine gun. Interestingly, the hero's health does not regenerate automatically; instead, we restore our weakened strength... by drinking alcohol. As we progress, we develop Garcia and improve Johnson, thanks to which their combat potential increases over time. In addition to fighting opponents, we regularly have to solve environmental puzzles during the game. The puzzles involve dispelling darkness, which not only drains the protagonist's health, but also makes his enemies indestructible. To get rid of it, we usually have to hit the head of a goat nearby with a ball of light fired from Johnson or get rid of the demon that produces it. Moreover, the fun is diversified by occasional mini-games, implemented in the form of an action platformer. Shadows of the Damned: Remastered stands out from the original thanks to refreshed graphics. ..::TECH-DATA::..
