The Ancients is a 4X turn-based strategy in which we take control of a prehistoric tribe and our task is to ensure that it can survive the Ice Age and develop. The production was developed by the independent Turkish studio Gorilla SoftWorks, and its creation was possible, among others, thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. In The Ancients we see the action from a bird's eye view. The game takes place on a map covered with hexagonal fields, and everything related to the (survival) of a prehistoric tribe rests on our shoulders. During the game, we send community members on expeditions to discover new territories, tell them to collect resources and food, and provide them with makeshift shelters. Dangers lurk here at almost every step. The danger comes from both the seasons and their characteristic weather conditions (including cold or drought), as well as the predators roaming the area.
