Description:
Space Goofs (originally titled “Les Zinzins de l’espace” in France) is a beloved French animated comedy series produced by Gaumont Multimedia that first aired in 1997. The show follows the hilarious misadventures of five quirky aliens who crash-land on Earth and take refuge in an old abandoned house.
The main characters are:
- Etno Polino - The intelligent leader and inventor who creates gadgets to scare away humans
- Gorgious Klatoo - The strong but dim-witted purple alien
- Candy Caramella - The orange, food-obsessed alien who thinks with his stomach
- Bud Budiovitch - The green, TV-addicted couch potato
- Stereo Monovici - The two-headed alien who often argues with himself
Their primary mission is to repair their damaged spaceship and return to their home planet. However, their plans are constantly foiled by humans attempting to move into the house. Using Etno’s inventions and various disguises, the aliens must continuously devise creative schemes to scare away potential residents while remaining undetected.
The show is known for its slapstick humor, creative animation, and the aliens’ elaborate schemes that often backfire in unexpected ways. It spawned a video game adaptation called “Stupid Invaders” and remains a nostalgic favorite for many viewers who grew up watching it.
