Note : I guess we've got time for one little giallo before we go, and this is a sleazy number, featuring betrayal, murder, lesbianism (gasp!), love triangles, and lots of nude photography. It'll be no surprise to anyone that this is by the same director who brought us the equally sleazy, but maybe even more sapphic, Amuck!, with which it shares some of the main cast. Said cast in this case includes Jenny Tamburi, Silvano Tranquilli, Rosalba Neri, Hiram Keller, Dana Ghia, Zora Gheorgieva, and what amounts to a tiny cameo appearance by Barbara Bouchet, who doesn't even get to make out with Rosalba Neri in this film, disappointingly.
Penniless nobleman Marco is a bit of a layabout, living off the fortune of his rich wife Dorothy, who he despises. Dorothy's best friend, Gianna, a photographer, is his mistress, and when he murders his wife, making it look like a suicide, he thinks they've got it made. However, Dorothy had a daughter, Nancy, from a previous marriage, and even though Marco's the administrator of the estate now, once Nancy turns twenty, it all goes to her. Nancy turns up at Marco's lakeshore villa, informing him she'll take over the estate soon, and Gianna is eager for Marco to murder her too, however, when the sultry Gianna convinces Nancy to pose for a series of nude photos, the seemingly innocent teenager arouses some prurient interest in both Gianna and Marco, but maybe she has her own motives?
A decent enough transfer of a scope film, which preserves decent detail and subtle grain, with ok color and contrast. The mono tracks sound about as good as these things get, and the Troy Howart/Nathaniel Thompson commentary track is as thorough and well-informed as you'd be used to by now from those two.
