Quick. One thing you won’t see in Guns of El Chupacabra? A chupacabra using guns. The story, as best discerned by a team of scientists after years of analysis, is that Robert Z’Dar’s space monsters have gotten loose on Earth, where they’re being called Chupacabras. The Space Sheriff and a whole host of bizarre characters, from Dog Boy to Stranger X to the Santiago Kid, spend most of the movie at a dump shooting their guns at absolutely nothing, with great vigor. More than anything, Guns of El Chupacabra is an important reminder that just because you and friends got together and filmed… something, you don’t actually have to release it.
