eXoWin9x Overview This pack includes 662 Windows 9x games. Windows 9x is a term being used to refer to both Windows 95 and Windows 98. Windows 95 was the first widely adopted version of Windows. It was the first native 32-bit version, with its predecessor, Windows 3.x, having very limited 32-bit capability. Windows 95 was also the first Windows OS to directly interface with the computer hardware, rather than relying on MS-DOS to do this. DirectX was released during the Windows 95 lifespan as well, to further enhance Windows gaming capabilities.
