Muggs, Glimpsy e il resto dei loro amici (East Side Kids) si offrono di sistemare il cottage per la luna di miele di Betty, la sorella di Glimpsy, e il neo marito Jack. Finiscono però nella casa sbagliata, ritrovandosi nel sinistro edificio che funge da quartier generale per una rete di spionaggio nazista guidata da Emil (Bela Lugosi).
Tutto il film si gioca su inseguimenti continui e, oltre al carisma di Lugosi, può contare su una delle prime apparizioni cinematografiche di Ava Gardner.
