In addition, this chapter also discusses emerging technologies enabling UAV swarm networks and related research and industry standards of UAV swarm networks.
The UAV swarm acts as an operating unit composed of multiple UAVs controlled through collaborative control. It adopts a coordinated architecture that can effectively share the workload of a single node while significantly reducing the degree of dependence on centralized control. In complex application scenarios, UAV swarms can effectively disperse the risk of single point failures through a dynamic task allocation mechanism, thereby improving the reliability and safety of task execution.
