番組内容
作家の向井承子さん（86）は戦争末期の幼いころ、大好きだった従姉・園子が精神科病院に入院。突然、離ればなれになった。その後、両親から「園子は死んだ」と聞いた。戦時下、全国の精神科病院では多くの患者が餓死する事態に陥っていた。
「従姉はどんな最期を迎えたのか？」向井さんはこの夏、病院にカルテの開示を求め、関係者や資料を探し、その足跡をたどった。戦時下の“塀”の中を生きた精神障害者たち。その声なき声に迫る。
