Playing a man with a gay preference in matters and clearly as he indicates as scripted, such a loathing for women in what is revealed of his manner in words that he actually argues before a jury that "eliminating women he says of the species we live for as loving men as myself do as the sole purpose of my own life, he says killing off the female of the species would be "justifiable homicide" for the lack of merit they have as beings compared to him and his friends as ideal sorts in his own mind instead. Trying to sell one fella on the stand during cross-examination Lemmon suggests that women have us brainwashed to need them to marry them fer crissakes - he says he prefers Madame Rene - a fella who goes by that name to pick up and drop off his laundry while employing a butler for anything else needing seen to around the house. He thinks much money could be saved etc etc etc. Of course there is a light humour intended seeming at times tone to the whole thing so the audience would take this for hyperbole, In this day and age this is NOT a movie to be missed, as you feel sorry for the billions even who never understood the magic beauty and thrill in life in finding a humanly warm spirited gal to share your life with and a community so formed to be worth dedicating your life to the welfare of instead of what other views of life seem to abound such as this fella is tryin to sell everyone one with obvious cynicism way beyond the pale way beyond.
