Overview
A bad Polish actor is just trying to make a living when Poland is invaded by the Germans in World War II. His wife has the habit of entertaining young Polish officers while he's on stage, which is also a source of depression to him. When one of her officers comes back on a Secret Mission, the actor takes charge and comes up with a plan for them to escape.

This is one of the best wartime era related comedy movies, from the master himself
of such theatrics and laughter along the way in this one - Mel Brooks - enjoy!
Satires the Nazi/Gestapo mindset with a comedy of errors and with a plot which thickens
just as things start to get insane. Ha ha - nice scripting for an unpleasant subject we can
still put to humour it is hoped, in the intention of a saner mind on things as we go along
putting images such as these many black Gestapo uniforms much paraded into the past
as we laugh at the characters portrayed
in this comedy now
